Enjoyment: It's a light read and has its comedic moments, but blue balls the reader when it comes to the romance and compensates by overusing some jokes. That's how close Misuzu is to Tomo and Carol, which is why she didn't end up with anyone in the manga. Are you suffering even slightly from a short attention span as real life worries are more important than your entertainment? Now-- the characters are really what in MY mind are the highlights of this show. The basis of each of them are generic, but are really memorable, each and every one of them. The rich girl, the sadistic girl, the oppressive father, etc. They give an opportunity for each of these characters to shine. Awesome Moment of Crowning: Parodied. After lending it to Tomo, Carol gently lifts her headband off of Tomo's head, flips it around and then has it slowly descend into place on her own head as she hums her own fanfare To the Tune of... "See, The Conquering Hero Comes."

As the anime adaptation continues to impress fans worldwide, many are wondering if the Tomo-chan is a Girl manga has already finished. Tomo and Jun have been best buds since they were little kids, but now that they’re in high school, Tomo wants to be more than friends…too bad Jun just sees her as ‘one of the guys.’ Tomo may be a tomboy, but she’s determined to prove to Jun that she’s a woman, too!” – Volume 1 preview, via Seven Seas Entertainment.Ahead of the season finale, Tomo-chan Is a Girl is scoring an above-average 7.69/10 on MyAnimeList, 7.6/10 on IMDB, 75% on Anilist, and 4/5 on Anime Planet. Tomo is preparing for an upcoming school dodgeball tournament, but because of her incredible strength, she is put on the same boys team as Junichiro. The two of them manage to fight their way to the finals, and defeat the enemy team led by a gorilla-like judo student named Goma for the trophy. After the match, Junichiro reflects on how much he looks up to Tomo. Tomo-chan starts off with a confession.... that our dense MMC doesn't understand. The main heroine is an incredibly tomboyish girl as such she's always been treated like a boy (honestly its almost 50/50 her fault) by her best friend and her Crush. Jun is character made of steel and is incredibly, unnecessarily chiseled. Along side with the help of her 2 other friends can Tomo find a way to make Jun see her as a woman and hopefully make him fall in love with her. Misuzu Gundou - Rina Hidaka (Milim Nava in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime/Filo in Isekai Quartret ) Gorou is Tomo's father. Although he is quite strict with his daughter and raises her to be a true martial artist, he seems to genuinely cherish her at the same time as a father might cherish his only daughter. For example, he reacts very jealously and nervously to the idea that Junichirou Kubota might have romantic feelings for Tomo while his wife Akemi Aizawa is more patronizing about it.

Adapted Out: The anime adaptation doesn't mention how young Carol's mother is and Tomo's disturbed reaction, since what was already iffy in the manga didn't pass the censors for anime. Unfortunately, Misuzu despises Junichiro, as does his friend, Tatsumi Tanabe, who has a huge crush on her. The lead is Aizawa Tomo, a compete tomboy whose lost sight of her feminine side. The main thrust of the comedy is her attempts to woo her best friend Jun, which is a nice break from the usual male lead romantic comedy set up. When a furious Tomo confronts Misuzu, Misuzu reveals their relationship lasted a mere three days. Later on, Tomo becomes happy when Junichiro tells her he has no current love interest. The next day, Junichiro meets Kosuke. Realizing he is Tomo's senpai in the karate club, Junichiro treats him harshly out of jealousy. Later that day, as Junichiro rides the bus with Kosuke, the latter discovers that despite being rough amongst themselves, Junichiro deeply admires Tomo. However, Junichiro again intimidates Kosuke the next day when he attempts to tell Tomo about their conversation.Oct 28 NBA Star Rui Hachimura Gets Animated and Possibly Saves the World in New Crayon Shin-chan Episode The colorful characters and their interaction with each others. This is perhaps best seen in forms of casual talk which is close to banter majority of the time. Such simple yet essential things as word choices and ways to phrase a sentence with euphemisms are put in the spotlight. Creativity is chosen most of the time for the sake of comedy and entertainment value + to make the characters more likable. While it occasionally seems like the author is just trying to deliver gags and wits with the help of characters, it's a mild flaw when character behavior remains loyal and doesn't go out of character even when the dialogue seems like sit-com script at times. Carol/Misaki, as their relationship parallels Jun and Tomo's in a lot of ways. Where Tomo is trying to get Jun to see her as a woman, Misaki is trying to become more masculine. Both boys don't see their respective girls as love interests initially ( actually, it's more complicated than that), while both girls have been trying to get their boys to take their relationships to the next level. Carol and Misaki get more elaboration on their relationship in volumes 5 and 6. When the girls take part-time jobs at Tanabe's family restaurant, Tanabe's father tears up, saying they need the help because his wife left him to visit her parents for the holidays.
