The look in its eyes gives the impression that it's carefully observing you. If you approach it, Natu will hop away. Because its wings aren’t yet fully grown, it has to hop to get around. It is always staring at something. In Historical Mystery Tour!, a Natu lured Ash and his friends through Xatu Forest. When it burst into the light, they guided themselves out. Natu shares its category with Pidgey, Spearow, and Rookidee. They are all known as the Tiny Bird Pokémon, though Natu was known as the Little Bird Pokémon in Generation II.Natu had no trouble getting around in the ruins, despite their complexity. These Pokémon aren’t able to fly yet, but they have amazing jumping power. Moves marked with a double dagger (‡) can only be bred from a Pokémon who learned the move in an earlier generation. Where to find Natu
Rolling Fields, West Lake Axewell, North Lake Miloch, South Lake Miloch, Giant's Seat, Giant's Mirror Natu, the Tiny Bird Pokémon. The Natu moves around by hopping and always seems to be staring at something.
Natu appears to be based on a quetzal, a bird family native to North America. It could also be based on other colorful birds like parrot, possibly the kakapo. It also resembles a quail. As revealed in a Penny Arcade Staff Podcast by Jeff Kalles, who assisted in the naming of many Generation II Pokémon, the word Natu is short for nature.
