Which Way to Anywhere is a step away from the norm for Cressida Cowell (I know this as my children have read all her books multiple times) as there is a science fiction element that I’ve seen before in her works. The child heroes in this story seem at first like fairly rather unremarkable people but when faced with huge challenges of having to save their parents and world ending threats, they actually end up being incredibly brave and creative. As expected from a Cressida Cowell story, this is fun with lots of close escapes, villains who are actually quite good, good characters who end up being bad . Soggy-Bottom--Marsh-Place (while very clearly a funny name for the UK) is something I could see being said in the Ryan-George universe. The story strikes a quirky balance of wild and outrageous storytelling that only great authors can dream up.When his baby sister is kidnapped (mistakenly, as the one with the gift), the two families must work together to save her.
