About this deal

Agnes was, Nanny considered, quite good-looking in an expansive kind of way; she was a fine figure of typical Lancre womanhood.

Nanny Ogg – most ramtop witches of any note have some suitably grand motherly honorific (Granny, Nanny, Gammer, etc) regardless of actual marital status, but Nanny Ogg is definitely a grand mother. It is also notable that Nanny Ogg once gave Agnes Nitt lessons on how to sing, including how to sing in harmony with herself (using her alter ego, Perdita). They say that the way to a man's heart is through his stomach which just goes to show they're as confused about anatomy as they gen'rally are about everything else, unless they're talking about instructions on how to stab him, in which case a better way is up and under the ribcage. Granny comes across as judgemental, whereas Nanny has a mind so broad she could tie it under her chin. he was looking for the Fountain of Youth and the odd thing about this sort of business is that it’s never, ever close to. Terry worked for many years as a journalist and press officer, writing in his spare time and publishing a number of novels, including his first Discworld novel, The Color of Magic, in 1983.

It's made from apples, well, mostly apples; the mystery ingredients seem to give it power beyond mere alcohol. Nanny Ogg is very funny and has a tremendous laugh that, as Terry Pratchett put it, "could even have embarrassed the little, wooden man".In Pewsey's case, she felt that no one should be allowed to wander around in just a vest even if they were four years old. Unlike Granny Weatherwax, and the stereotype of witches in general, Nanny Ogg does not live in an isolated cottage but in a well-looked-after townhouse in the capital of Lancre with her eldest and youngest sons living to either side. It’s as if there’s some special morphic generator dedicated to the production of old women who like a laugh and aren’t averse to the odd pint, especially of some drink normally sold in very small glasses. No amount of charms could persuade a wart to take root on her handsome if slightly equine features, and vast intakes of sugar only served to give her boundless energy.

Granny Weatherwax knows about this ability, and recognizes its use, and wonders sometimes if it would have been worth acquiring it. Some of Terry's accolades include: The Carnegie Medal, Locus Awards, the Mythopoetic Award, ALA Notable Books for Children, ALA Best Books for Young Adults, Book Sense 76 Pick, Prometheus Award and the British Fantasy Award.Neville is a thief and (prior to the events of Maskerade) stole all the lead from the roof of the Ankh-Morpork Opera House. Gytha Ogg is often depicted as a strong, capable, and independent character, with a sharp sense of humor. She has demonstrated the ability to socialize with all kinds of people within a very little time ( Maskerade, Witches Abroad, Lords and Ladies) which sometimes leaves Granny wondering 'if Gytha has some sort of special magic'.

Nanny Ogg is far too wise and busy to carry a handbag; she keeps all she needs in her knickers, lifting her skirts to reveal a knickerleg, and extracting whatever is needed at the time. She briefly takes on young Tiffany Aching as an apprentice after the death of Tiffany's previous mentor, Miss Treason. One feels at all times the rich array of gags on which the Discworld sits, from the Wee Free Men's murderous banquets to why you should never shake hands with a troll over dinner. Terry Pratchett was the acclaimed creator of the global bestselling Discworld series, the first of which, The Colour of Magic, was published in 1983.She thoroughly approved of the prohibition, since this gave her an unchallenged market for her own product, known wherever men fell backwards into a ditch as ‘suicider'. It was observed in more than one occasion, by Granny Weatherwax, that Nanny Ogg has impressive social skills. Nanny Ogg's Cookbook is a book of recipes and wisdom of the Discworld character Nanny Ogg by Terry Pratchett, Stephen Briggs and Tina Hannan, and illustrated by Paul Kidby.
