After about 4-5 hours I still had mild projection at around 12 inches and a moderate but still noticeable scent trail.

I consider this EDT superior to the otherwise beloved EDP, since I find the cherry in that other formulation renders the composition unnecessarily heavy. I did overspray (20-25 sprays) as it’s an intimate fragrance and isn’t a loud projector but leaves a beautiful silage. Today, I applied the L’Homme Ideal EDT at 10 am, and come 6:30 pm, my wife still detects its presence.The bottle I purchased is a February 2023 run and it lasts barely an hour or two even with up to six sprays.

Seen a good few emphasise the leather in the older brown bottles, which I don’t get a great deal of, so that could be a significant change. Cherry and almond mix beautifully - neither overpowering the other - The tartness of cherry is tamed by the creaminess of almond. Guerlain L'Homme Ideal EDP is a top 10 all time masterpiece of perfumery - especially in the context of modern perfumery. One of the reviewer down below said that it smells like Bentley men intense or dior homme, so In that case my nose is broken or I have fake fragrances in my collection, LOL.

It is well crafted and unique, works great in cold weather night outs or dates, sophisticated and elegant, will get you noticed for sure. Just like him my bottle used to be more almondy mixed with the cherry and woods, but now unfortunately the almond note is no longer prominent and if it’s still there at all it is being dominated by the synthetic medicinal cherry note.

They can just put on a fragrance and go stand by a fire and will get better longevity and projection.The performance is very poor, but it smells the same, so if you don't mind poor performance you can get it. I've owned this fragrance for about a year now and unfortunately I rarely find myself reaching for it. The cherry in this fragrance is so juicy and delicious and the quality of this fragrance is amazing, the closet fragrance I can compare it to is Tom Ford Noir Extreme Parfum. overall, i think its alright but just fails in what intense or the others in the line do way better with the almond theme. The opening was disarming, consisting of a unique accord formed from coumarin, powdery heliotrope, top end sparkle from mandarin and aromatic rosemary to paint the scent masculine.

I would say the sweet lavender, almond and cherry notes in this fragrance gives this fragrance enough versatility to be worn all year around. As this is a EDP variation it’s a lot quieter off my skin than the EDT which I own and projects very well.

The bottle I purchased in UK in silver box with black cap seems a mile away from the one I tested at the airport. Top notes are Citruses, Orange Blossom, Rosemary and Bitter Orange; middle notes are Almond and Tonka Bean; base notes are Leather, Cedar and Vetiver. I’ve tried the new bottle and I noticed the opening is slightly better imo but the performance seems a bit weaker, not as loud and doesn’t last as long.
