I just received this perfume today after reading the reviews and for me … it gives me the Gris Dior, Rihanna Rouge and N. I don't find it creamy at all, in fact the sourness (sherbert-type) is keeping the scent quite edgy, a little powdery, while the bitterness pulls it down into molasses mode. The butter soft leather and cushioned creaminess creates an absolutely lush experience, it’s the heart of the fragrance.

It doesn't have much sillage, but it lasts all day as a skin scent, making it a perfect office scent for whenever you need a confidence boost in that area (think Miranda Priestly in The devil wears Prada). Perfumes with natural ingredients often smell different in batches based on the source of the ingredients, while synthetic ingredients usually have consistency in their smell and lasts longer.I am not saying here, I hasten to add, that this Bottega Venetta is only comparable to an ultra-cheapy - it most certainly isn't - it's a fine perfume indeed that I wore recently and got a sincere (and ordinary) compliment for. It's grown-up, it's dignified and it is inoffensive while it allows its wearer to display a refined taste in fragrances. Bright pink pepper and tangy bergamot lead to a heart of precious jasmine and a rich and classic base of leather, oak moss and patchouli.

It’s earthy and mossy but there is this sweet ghost like violet colored atmosphere that surrounds it, along with a sueded leather. This perfume is perfectly unisex whoever wears it will attract attention, this fragrance commands it. The addition of spiced fruits, while beautifully blended skew EdV toward an older, more mature and more sophisticated frag connoisseur.

I have never tried the Armani Privé Cuir Améthyste, but I can confirm this smells NOTHING like Gris Dior.

But I am also very open to any suggestions for what else to try if I just want this Bottega but after 3+ hours of wearing it. I feel very elegant and confident when I wear this perfume, great for the office or a night out, it is versatile. Sure it's "smooth' and "well blended" but only in the way where you know the perfumer had a strict brief to fulfil. I'm new into this perfume journey, but if I had to say what it reminds me of, it's sitting on a grass field, under an old big tree in a leather jacket on a sunny, but somewhat chilly spring afternoon.There is something very enticing about it, that makes it incredibly sexy and good as a night time scent. BV is leather and sexy and would be a woman in designer fashion forward clothing while GD is more rose and powdery and a very well put together woman in feminine clothing. I Sense no Leather, I feel the discrete sweetness and warmth Which i like very much, Which reminds me slightly of Mania from Armani Which I once wore, discontonued I Believe, that was a really heavy , spicy , sweet one, Undortunately a little bit too masculine, but this one - BV- has what I believe is the patchouli ( I Think patchouli is a very interesting smell, a little bit difficult since it can dominante ), I am not sure of it is the patchouli , but it drenches the sweetness into a more cold, negative , complicated, Almost metallic scent, that for me - ruins it.
