The vanilla is listed as a base note but its sweetness and aroma are noticeable as soon as the fragrance is applied; the Guaiac Wood becomes noticeable, it develops quickly turning into a leathery and projecting note.

The powdery vanilla sweetness in the base of this is exactly like le male, but where as la male has that bright minty shaving cream note, this instead replaces it with a musty skin kind of note. I also understand the comparisons with Jean Paul Gaultier's Le Male, but the mint makes "The Male" a much lighter scent, while 212 Sexy is very thick, in my opinion. It definitely has this sexy smell about it (that’s the male body odour that I would have to guess to come from a dirty musk note, if anything. I do get the body odor vibe some people get from it, but it's not prominent on my skin, and other people actually think it smells good.

It it's the case, let it blended with your body heat and sweat, then you'll get what I'm talking about. No BO, no curry, no Le Male similarity (I get mainly aromatic herbs with strong mint and lavender in Le Male with the only similarity being vanilla) and not even very spicy apart for slight cardamom.This is great for late fall, winter and early spring and in my view works really well as a work or casual fragrance because it isn't so overwhelming or overpowering and though a bit powdery, there's a subtle balance to it that is uplifting and warming at the same time. i swear theres so much vanilla in it, its amazing i love vanilla but its a bit woody or spicy which makes i smell almost like a cream soda really different its very sweet,i dont get very much bergamot or mandarin orange maybe one it starts to get to the drydown, its very much like cream soda for awhile. For weeks, I have been unable to forget about 212 Sexy Men since I re entered this amazing perfume journey.

The fragrance is amazing, but if you can't find an old bottle i'd grab Prada's Luna Rossa Sport instead. It does remind me of Le Male in the opening because of the sweet vanilla notes but 212 Sexy is mixed better and more masculine in my opinion because of the smoother woody notes I get from it.
