Have you ever heard of Ebenezer Scrooge? The most miserly, miserable Christmas-hating miser from that very famous old book? The man who is more BAH HUMBUG than HO HO HO? Es hat so unglaublich viel Spaß gemacht, wieder in die Geschichte rund um den Weihnachtosaurus einzutauchen. Obwohl die Bücher aufeinander aufbauen und es sicherlich besser ist, die Bücher in ihrer chronologischen Reihenfolge nach Erscheinen zu lesen, bin ich der Meinung, dass man, aufgrund der Storylines, die Bücher auch unabhängig voneinander lesen kann und es nicht zwingend notwendig ist, Teil 1 zu kennen, um den zweiten Teil zu lesen. Dennoch würde ich es empfehlen, Teil 1 zu lesen, alleine schon aufgrund der Perfektion dieser Geschichte. The Christmasaurus is a series about a boy named William Trundle and a dinosaur named the Christmasaurus.

Als ich vor ziemlich genau zwei Jahren das Buch Der Weihnachtosaurus von Tom Fletcher (Zur Rezension von Band 1) gelesen habe, war dies seit Ewigkeiten mal wieder eine Weihnachtsgeschichte, die ich gelesen habe. Doch diese süße Geschichte konnte mich im Jahr 2017 völlig verzaubern, weshalb ich natürlich nicht lange zögerte und unbedingt auch die Fortsetzung Der Weihnachtosaurus und die Winterhexe verschlingen musste. Und dann möchte ich natürlich auch noch den Weihnachtsmann und allen voran natürlich auch den Weihnachtosaurus erwähnen, ohne die diese Geschichte vermutlich lange nicht so großartig wäre, wie sie es nun einmal ist. Beide gehören mit zu meinen absoluten Lieblingen dieser Geschichten aber wen wundert das schon?

Auch mit dem gewählten Setting konnte mich der Autor wieder absolut überzeugen. Die meiste Zeit befinden wir uns nämlich am Nordpol und diesen hat Tom Fletcher so wahnsinnig detailreich beschrieben, dass man sich nicht nur wünscht, ebenfalls gleich an den Nordpol zu reisen, sondern das Gefühl hat, man sei bereits dort und wäre Teil dieses großartigen Abenteuers. Man hat während des Lesens so fantastische Bilder im Kopf, dass man am liebsten in das Buch hineinkrabbeln und gar nicht mehr raussteigen möchte.
